Spiritual Itinerary – Ecological Peace

Each year, Christians observe the Season of Creation (September 1 to October 4) as a time to deepen environmental awareness and renew their commitment to ecological action. As part of our Spiritual Itinerary on Peace, this month’s journey invites us to reflect on the vital connection between peace and ecology and the urgent call to a “new solidarity” with all creation. Guided by the four elements – air, water, earth, and fire – we will explore through prayer, reflection, and action how God’s presence is revealed in the rhythms of the natural world and how responding to our planet’s ecological crisis is essential to building peace. This first itinerary, part of our Artisans of Peace year, is designed to unfold over four weeks. We also extend our sincere gratitude to Melanie Guste, RSCJ, for writing this guide.
