Members of the project

Rena Bersolala
Hi! I am Rena, from the Philippines. For me, peace is the strongest foundation for a prosperous and thriving community, and we should all share in the responsibility in working towards it.

Apolline Bouts
I’m a French student currently interning with JPIC on the Artisans of Peace project. Previously, I worked with Margaret at the UN-NGO Office of the Society of the Sacred Heart, where I learned how to advocate for social justice in high-level international forums. I am currently studying international law and human rights, and through this project, I hope to contribute to creating a lasting impact for peace.

Yolanda Jimenez
Latin Spanish roots, Swiss-precision childhood, English chapter and Italian settling, collecting friends (and languages) all around the world, and learning along the way that peace is something we build through connection, difference, and care.

Margaret Mwawili rscj
Peace, the courage to become ourselves fully, connecting to the people around us. Rising when we stop fighting our own souls, embrace both our wounds and our light, and choose compassion over fear, judgment, and division. A living force that restores dignity, heals and rebuilds our broken world, drawing us into deeper unity with one another, with creation, and with the presence of God that calls every human heart towards love. (Margaret is our UN NGO representative at our office in New York).

“Peace be with you!”
What a wonderful gift he is giving us… perhaps also an invitation, a commitment to build upon each day… Peace is woven from many threads: love, truth, justice… I look forward to exploring these further during this year as “peacemakers.” Thank you in advance to everyone who is sharing their enthusiasm and creativity for this project.
