Global Service Day 2026: A Concrete Act of Peace for Mater’s Feast

The Family of the Sacred Heart is warmly invited to participate in Global Service Day on October 20, or thereabouts, in celebration of Mater’s Feast. This special day invites communities, schools, organizations, and individuals to move beyond words and offer a concrete act of peace to our blessed and broken world.

Global Service Day is more than a commemoration—it is a shared call to service. In a world marked by division, hardship, and uncertainty, even a simple act of kindness can become a visible sign of hope. Whether through outreach, care for creation, assistance to vulnerable communities, prayer, education, or acts of reconciliation, every service offered in love contributes to building peace.

How to Participate

Participation is open to all members of the Family of the Sacred Heart. Groups are encouraged to choose a meaningful service activity that responds to the needs of their local community and reflects the spirit of Mater’s Feast.

After carrying out the activity, participants are asked to submit:

• A photograph of the group in action
• A brief description of the service performed

Submissions may be sent to  jpiclearninghub@gmail.com.

Let us make this Global Service Day a moment of connection, generosity, and hope. May our collective acts of service remind the world that peace is possible when we choose to care, to serve, and to stand together.
