Let’s Get to Work! – Materials for Ages 6-8

Here we share the primary workshop program for children ages 6–8, “Let’s get to work – be artisans of peace,” for the 2026–27 academic year, prepared by José Puig of Colegio Santa Magdalena Sofía in Valencia.

The program’s core philosophy is that peace is an unfinished work that each of us is called to build. Using the image of an artisan’s workshop, it helps children discover the practical “tools” they can use to create peace—such as calming their emotions, thinking carefully before acting, listening, asking questions, and making responsible choices. Rather than simply teaching children to avoid conflict, the program encourages them to become active peacemakers in their classroom, homes, and communities through small, consistent, and caring actions.
